About Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais

 Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984)

moshe2Dr. Feldenkrais developed the Feldenkrais Method® from his genius when he was faced with a knee injury that threatened his ability to function.

When his surgeon told him he would only have a 50% chance of walking again if he had knee surgery Dr. Feldenkrais decided against having one. He then applied his extensive knowledge from the sciences and martial arts and taught himself how to walk and function pain-free and without causing further damage to his knee.Screen shot 2015-10-24 at 8.14.00 AM

“Find your true weakness and surrender to it. ThereinMosheTeachingATM lies the path to genius. Most people spend their lives using their strengths to overcome or cover up their weaknesses. Those few who use their strengths to incorporate their weaknesses, who don’t divide themselves, those people are very rare. In any generation there are a few and they lead their generation.”

“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.”
– Moshe Feldenkrais

“What I’m after isn’t flexible bodies, but flexible brains. What I’m after is to restore each person to their human dignity.”
– Moshe Feldenkrais
Moshe&Child“The system developed by Moshe Feldenkrais …. has as much potential for understanding the mind / body relationship as Einstein’s general theory of relativity had for physics.”
